    Job details
  • Facility in West Virginia is in need of Med/Surg Telemetry RN Traveler.
  • Must have 2 years of experience in specialty.
  • Must be willing to float to other med/surg units including COVID unit.
    Job requirements
  • Traveler requires BLS, Meditech EMR, WV RN or compact license.
  • Required certifications: BLS Required. ACLS, EKG comp Preferred.
  • Experience or 'Must have' skills: Blood administration, med surg/tele experience.
    Schedule information
  • 7-7 schedules are made monthly.
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
  • Holiday Requirement: as scheduled.
  • The schedule is posted for a four week time frame.
  • Scheduled every other weekend.
    Unit specific information
  • Unit/Department specific orientation: 3 days
  • Floating Requirements: Other med surg units as needed. Travelers are first to float.
  • Scrub Color/Dress Code: Any color scrubs as long as they are clean and neat.
    Additional Details
  • # of beds: 20
  • 100 MILE RADIUS RULE
  • NO BLOCKED SCHEDULE
  • Ratios: 1:5-6
  • Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes
  • Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Cardizem, Insulin, Heparin
  • Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Floor has charge nurse and each shift has a house supervisor
  • Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios: Yes- 1 per shift and sometimes 2 on days.
  • RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc): Vents (Home settings, core staff will take, these are rare) Cpap, bipap
  • Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips?: Yes, all 20 beds have tele with central monitoring. RN's read tele strips.
  • Will there be opportunities OT? There are currently opportunities for overtime. That can change depending on the staffing.
