Location: New Haven, Connecticut
Facility: New Haven Hospital, part of Yale New Haven Health
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Shifts: 3x12 or 4x12 (traveler's choice), 1900-0730
Floating Requirement: Must float between SRC and YSC campuses (1 block apart, shared parking and shuttle available)
Required Experience:
- 2 years of experience
- RRT - NICU and Peds experience
- Trauma experience
- Adult Critical Care ventilator experience
Preferred Experience: Extra Corporal experience
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
First-timers Accepted: Yes

Certifications Required

National Certifications:
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
BLS (Basic Life Support): Required
Additional Certifications:
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

Special Requirements

Preferred experience with Puritan Bennett and Vyaire Avea ventilators.
Open to accommodating block schedules.

Health and Compliance Requirements

Physical Exam: Required within 12 months of start.
Fit Test: Required within 12 months, updated annually.
Vaccinations:
- Tdap vaccination required within 10 years for specific units.
- Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray required.
- Flu vaccination required during flu season.
- COVID-19 vaccination required.
Background Check: 7-year criminal background check required within 12 months.
