Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse

Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12's N - 36 hours
Call Required: Yes
Floating: Will be floated to different units within the OSU organization as needed.

Qualifications

Experience: 2 years of experience required
Certifications:
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
- IV Certification
- EPIC Experience required
- Previous travel experience preferred

Required Skills

IV Start
IVs, labs, medication administration
Patient education
Experience in Surgical with Burn Unit

Certifications Required

ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support
BLS: Basic Life Support
PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support
NRP: Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
EFM: Electronic Fetal Monitoring
NIH Stroke Certification: Required for ER and all Critical Care RNs
Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam: Required within 1 year of start
Competency Exam: Unit-Specific

Health Documents

Physical Exam: Required within a year of start
Vaccinations:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
- Negative TB or Chest X-Ray
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Flu vaccine or declination during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccination (recommended)

Background Check

Criminal Background Check: 7-Year check required within 1 year of start
Fingerprinting: Required for all candidates

References

Professional References: 2 required, including at least 1 from a manager/director
