Unit Details

• Minimum Experience: 1 year (Unit accepts first-time travelers)
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, variable day off; hours will vary from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM to 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Weekend: None
• Call: None
• Floating: Within facility/scope of practice as needed

Compliance and Requirements

• Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant, push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.
• RTO (Request Time Off): Maximum of 7 days
• Holidays: Expected to work one major holiday if it falls within the assignment period. If two major holidays fall within the assignment period, expected to work both. If three major holidays fall within the assignment period, expected to work two of the holidays.

Certifications and Competencies

• Required Certifications:

  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • BLS - Basic Life Support
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (if applicable)
  • EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring (online course required within a few months of hire)
  • State License Verification (if applicable)
  • NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP)
  • NIH Stroke Certification (if applicable)
  • Tech Cert Verification - National (if applicable)
  • CEUs: Proof of 15 CEUs from the last 3 years for Mammo techs

• Competencies:

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
  • Color Blind Testing Online
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (required for specific specialties)

Health Documents

• Physical Exam: Required within 1 year of start
• Negative TB or Chest X-Ray: Required within 12 months of start date
• TB Questionnaire: Required annually
• Vaccinations:

  • Flu vaccine or declination required
  • COVID vaccine or declination required
  • Hepatitis B series or signed declination
  • Varicella, Rubeola, Mumps vaccinations or positive titers required

Background and History

• Background Check: Required within 30 days of start
• References: 2 clinical references needed
