Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse

Overview

Specialty: Registered Nurse
Location: Greenwich, Connecticut
Facility: Greenwich Hospital, part of Yale New Haven Health
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Shift Details

Schedule: 4x9.5 hour days (8:00 AM - 3:15 PM), Monday to Friday
Total Hours: 37.5 hours/week
On Call Requirement: 30-minute call back for off hours, holidays, and weekend rotation
Parking: Free parking available

Required Certifications

ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
BLS - Basic Life Support
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (required for NICU)
TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course (required for ER)
EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring (required for L&D RNs)
CPI - Crisis Prevention Institute (required for Psychiatrics/Behavioral Health)
NIH Stroke Certification - required for all RNs
Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam - required for all RNs
Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam - required for Telemetry and ICU units

Health Documents

Physical Exam - required within 12 months of start
Fit Test - required within 12 months of start, updated annually
Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap - required within 10 years for specific units
Negative TB or Chest X-Ray - required within specified timeframes
Drug Testing - 10 Panel Drug screen required within 12 months, updated annually
Flu Vaccination - required during flu season
COVID-19 Vaccination - proof of completed series required

Background Check

7 Year Criminal Background Check - required within 12 months, updated annually
Employment Application - must include a 7 year work history with no gaps greater than 90 days

Additional Information

Primary Source Verification: Required within 30 days of start
State License Verification: Connecticut license required for RNs
Training Modules: Various training modules required, including but not limited to:
- CLABSI Prevention
- Patient Transportation with Oxygen
- Language Services Training
- Suicide Risk and Environmental Assessment Training
