Job Description

This position is for a Registered Nurse at Cleveland Clinic Akron General, part of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

Required Certifications

ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA Only)
BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA Only)
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (AHA Only)
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (AAP/AHA Only)
CNOR - Certified Nurse (OR) (Preferred for RNFAs)
TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course (Required for ER)
HIPAA Safety Manual Acknowledgement (Required annually)
State License Verification (Primary Source Verification within 30 days of start)
NURSYS Verification (within 30 days of start)
NIH Stroke Certification (AHA, Apex, AACME, or Bluecloud only)
Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) (Required during Orientation)
Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (Required as applicable by Profession)

Health Documents

Physical Exam (within a year of start)
Fit Mask (required within 12 months and updated annually)
Tdap Vaccine (required every 10 years)
Negative TB or Chest X-Ray (within 12 months)
TB Questionnaire (required annually)
Drug Testing (Standard 10 Panel within 12 months and updated annually)
Flu Vaccine (required during flu season)
Background Check (required prior to start and updated annually)

Additional Requirements

References: 2 references required from employment within the last year.
Application: Must include 3 years of prior work history, including at least 2 years of clinical practice in an acute care setting.
Fingerprinting: Required for all candidates, must be completed within 12 months of start and updated annually.

Important Notes

Government-Issued Photo ID required; must carry while on assignment.
Candidates must renew certifications that expire within 30 days of start prior to beginning the assignment.
The onboarding process includes multiple steps and must be completed prior to starting the position.
