Job Description

Position: Nurse Educator
Experience Required: 3 years
Shift: 5x8 Days (Monday - Friday, 0700 - 1530)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Responsibilities

Cover education and onboarding needs for:
- Med/Surg
- Med Surg float pool
- CVIC
Work across two inpatient complex care medical/surgical units:
- Cardiac unit (heart failure and pre-post cath lab patients)
- Medical/surgical unit (long-term vents and trach patients)

Required Skills

Telemetry
Vents
Knowledge in:
- Heart failure
- Fixed rate drips
- Groin and radial management
- Trach care
- Long-term vents

Certifications

Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- State License
Preferred:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- MSN (Master of Science in Nursing)
- Clinical education and/or formal preceptor role experience

Additional Information

Flu Vaccine: Required for all employees.
Health Documents:
- Annual physical exam
- N95 Fit Test
- TB test or chest X-ray
- Vaccinations (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap)
Background Check: Required within 90 days of start.
References: Two positive supervisory references required.
