Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Job Description

The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing. The role involves providing care to patients during night shifts.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in MS/Tele nursing
Certifications:
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
- IV certification
Skills:
- IV starts
- General nursing skills
- Patient monitoring
- Labs and medication administration
- Patient education
EPIC experience required

Additional Information

Certifications and Competencies

ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
BLS - Basic Life Support
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (if applicable)
NIH Stroke Certification - Required for ER and Critical Care RNs
Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam - Required within 1 year of start
Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam - Required prior to start
Unit-Specific Competency Exam - Required

Health Documents

Physical Exam - Documentation of good health and free of contagious disease
Vaccinations:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
- Negative TB or Chest X-Ray
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Flu vaccine during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccination (recommended but not required)

Background Check

7-Year Criminal Background Check - Required within 1 year of start
Fingerprinting - Required for all candidates

References

Professional References: 2 required, including at least 1 from a manager or director.
