Scheduling Requirements

• Shifts: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule period

Floating Policy

• Floating to like units: NS ICU, Cardiac Telemetry units, Progressive Care Unit, Burn Unit, ED Inpatient Overflow, and other units as per hospital needs.

Patient Experience Requirements

• Experience: 2 years ICU experience preferred

Certifications Required

• Mandatory: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred: TNCC

Requested Skill Set

• Trauma patient management
• IV administration of vasoactive medications
• Ventilator management
• Chest tube management
• Care of post-op surgical patients
• Cardiac rhythm identification and management
• Hemodynamic monitoring
• Care of stroke patients

Advanced Skills Needed

• Hemodynamic and ventilator management

Procedures Performed on Unit

• Chest tube placement
• Ventriculostomy
• Moderate sedation
• CRRT
• Therapeutic hypothermia
• ECMO
• Arterial line and central line placement

Dress Code

• Top: Navy scrub top (no t-shirts)
• Bottoms: Navy or black scrub bottoms
• Jackets: Navy, White, or Black (solid colors)
• Undershirts: Navy, White, or Black (solid colors)
