Job Details

• Specialty: Med Surg/Tele RN
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: March 17
• Shift: Nights (3-12's, 7 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (EOW is a must)
• Holidays: Every other holiday
• Floating: Assigned to a home unit but will float between all 5 Med Surg units

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Med Surg/Tele nursing
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required
  • Epic experience required
• Travel Experience: Prior travel experience is required
• Availability: Must be able to start on the listed orientation dates; no RTO (Request Time Off) within the first two weeks of the start date; minimal RTO thereafter
• Work Schedule: Must be available for 48 hours; cannot offer blocked schedules; no local travelers allowed (within 50 miles)

• Patient Ratios:

  • Days: 1:3-4
  • Nights: 1:7-8
• Charge Nurse: Yes, shared with North 6
• Nurse Aides: Yes, 1:8
• Common Diagnoses: General medical cases

Additional Notes

• Scrub Color: Caribbean blue; black and white shirts may be worn under the uniform; pants may be black or Caribbean blue.
• IV Team: Available from 7 AM - 8:30 PM; Nurse Resource available 24/7 for IV help during night shifts.
• Respiratory Therapy: Available 24/7; nurses perform all respiratory treatments.
• Pharmacy: Available 24/7.
