Position Details

• Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years in acute care hospital settings. Candidates with less than 3 years of recent experience will not be considered.

Requirements

• Licensure: TN OT State License required.
• Local Candidates: Not accepted; candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility.

Certifications Required

• ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA or ARC only)
• BLS: Basic Life Support (AHA or ARC only)
• PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (AHA or ARC only, required for specific roles)
• NRP: Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (AAP only, required for specific roles)
• TNCC: Trauma Nursing Core Course (preferred for ER)
• EFM: Electronic Fetal Monitoring (Intermediate AWHONN required for L&D within 2 years)
• Tech Certifications: Various certifications required for specific tech roles (e.g., CST for OR Techs, ARRT for MRI Techs).

Health Documents

• Physical Exam: Required within 1 year of start, expires annually.
• Fit Mask Test: 3M N-95 Masks only, must pass prior to start.
• Vaccinations:

  • Tdap (required for Le Bonheur Children's Hospital)
  • TB testing (True 2-step PPD, Q-Gold, or T-spot within 1 year)
  • Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella (proof of vaccinations or positive titers required)
  • Flu Vaccine (required prior to start, documentation needed)
  • COVID-19 Vaccination (preferred, not required)

Background and History Checks

• Background Check: Required within 60 days of start, including statewide, county, federal searches, and education verification.
• References: Two recent professional references required.
• Education Verification: Required, diploma/transcript not accepted in lieu.

Additional Information

• Dress Code: Specific scrubs required based on role; business casual for RN Case Managers.
• Photo Badge: Must meet strict guidelines for submission.
