Job Description

• Position: MRI Tech
• Daily Caseload: 30-40 patients
• Experience Required: Minimum of 1 year
• First-timers Accepted: Yes
• Weekend Requirement: Yes
• On-call Requirement: No (optional)
• Pending State License: Accepted (must be in hand prior to start)
• Special Requirements:

  • GE Equipment experience required
  • BLS, ARRT, and WA State Licensure required
  • Preferred experience in an accredited lab (IACE guidelines)

• Type of Facility: Level II Trauma Center (Includes OP, IR, ER, IP)
• Total Staffed Beds: 571 across both campuses
• Charting System: EPIC
• Scrub Color: Any (except reddish orange or teal)

Patient Care

• The MRI department performs a variety of exams, with day shifts focusing on specialized studies (e.g., Cardiac MRI, Breast MRI) and night shifts handling more routine scans (e.g., brains, spines, abdomens).
• Patient acuity varies from ambulatory to total assist, with more ambulatory patients during the day and more partial to total assist for inpatients at night.

Certifications and Licenses Required

• Mandatory Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
  • Other certifications as applicable based on specialty and facility requirements.

Additional Information

• Background Check: Required within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked within the past 7 years.
• Drug Testing: 10 Panel Drug Screen required within 90 days of start.
• Vaccinations:

  • Tdap vaccine required within 10 years.
  • Flu vaccine required during flu season (10/15-3/31).
  • COVID-19 vaccination or declination required if onsite.
