Job Description

• Role: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for Home Health
• Responsibilities:

  • Conduct home visits for therapy.
  • Participate in periodic office meetings.
  • Manage an average of 5-6 patients per day.
  • Complete documentation and travel as part of the job.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of adult home health experience.
• Certifications:

  • CPR
  • BLS
• Transportation: Must have reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and agency-required liability insurance.
• On-Call Requirement: Varies by job/location; to be discussed during the interview.
• Weekend Requirement: Varies by location and profession; to be discussed during the interview.
• Territory: Must be willing to travel up to 75 miles from the home clinic.

Productivity Expectations

• Points System:

  • 30 points per week.
  • Each type of visit and activity (documentation, travel, etc.) holds a different point value.
  • Assigned between 5-10 patients per day, equating to roughly 6-8 points.

Additional Information

• Local Candidates: Accepted at the same rate.
• Pending License: Not accepted; must have license in hand unless it takes a few days to obtain.
• Mileage Reimbursement: Compensated at the IRS standard rate from patient home to patient home (commute to/from the first and last patient is not billable).

Documentation and Compliance

Candidates must complete various compliance and health documents prior to starting, including but not limited to:

• Background checks
• Health documents (e.g., TB test, vaccinations)
• Compliance training and policy acknowledgments

Work Environment

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
• Travel: Expected to travel approximately 200-250 miles per week.
