Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse

Unit Details

Diagnoses Include: Chest pain, CHF, Hemodialysis, & Post Cath patients
Weekend Requirement: Every Other
Call Requirement: None
Floating: Within facility/scope of practice and to Piedmont Macon North Hospital as needed

Experience Requirements

Minimum Experience: 2 years

Contract Length

12 months

Compliance and Documentation

Full Compliance Required: To start on time; if not compliant, push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.
Background Check: Required within 30 days of start.
References: 2 clinical references needed to meet baseline.
Education Verification: Required; can be pending at start with proof that it is running (due within 30 days post start).

Certifications Required

ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support
BLS: Basic Life Support
PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (if applicable)
EFM: Electronic Fetal Monitoring (online course required within a few months of hire)
State License Verification: Required within 30 days prior to start date
NURSYS Verification: Required within 30 days prior to start date
NIH Stroke Certification: Required (if applicable)
Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam: Required
Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam: Required for specific units

Health Documents

Negative TB or Chest X-Ray: Required within 12 months of start date.
Flu Vaccine or Declination: Required.
COVID Vaccine or Declination: Required.
Drug Testing: Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days of start.

Additional Information

Holidays: Expected to work major holidays if they fall within the assignment period.
Local Candidates Accepted: Same rate as travelers.

Skills and Competencies

Skills Checklist: Must be updated annually.
Color Blind Testing: Required for specific roles.
