Job Description

Registered Nurses are responsible for providing nursing care to patients in collaboration with families, in accordance with the American Nurse's Association Standards of Professional Nursing Practice. The Registered Nurse is expected to provide primary nursing care for patients and to assume responsibility for the nursing care process, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Required Qualifications

• Current licensure in the State of Rhode Island
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH certifications
• Proficiency in the English language

Credentialing Requirements

• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NIH Certification

• Licenses:

  • Current nursing license (Nursys verification required)

Health Requirements

• COVID-19 Vaccine: Proof of vaccination series or bivalent booster required.
• MMR: Proof of 2 immunizations or positive titer.
• Hepatitis B: Complete vaccination series or declination.
• Influenza Vaccine: Documentation required from September-May.
• Fit Test: N95 mask fit testing required.
• PPD/TB: Two PPD skin tests or one IGRA completed within the last year.
• Varicella: Proof of 2 immunizations or positive titer.
• Tdap: Proof of immunization within the last 10 years.

Additional Information

• All testing and forms must be signed and uploaded for review prior to start.
• Medical exemptions for vaccinations will be reviewed and approved by the CNE medical exemption review group prior to start.
• Documentation must include name, date of birth, date administered, and provider/clinic information for all vaccines.
