Job Description

• Shift: MS nights, primarily on medical unit
• Patient Ratio: 1:6, flexing to 1:7 when necessary
• Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule (Saturday/Sunday)
• EMR System: CERNER
• Experience Required: 2 years
• Patient Age Group: Adults
• Licensure: Must have South Carolina license in hand
• Local Candidates: Accepted at the same rate
• Charge Nurse Responsibilities: Must have the ability to work as charge and precept new grads
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted

Certifications Required

• BCLS: Basic Life Support
• ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (preferred)

Additional Requirements

• Background Check: Required within 90 days of start and updated annually
• References: 2 professional references required
• Health Documents:

  • Physical Exam within 12 months of start
  • Fit test for masks within 3 months of start
  • Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 1 year of start
  • Vaccination documentation for Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • 9 Panel Drug Screen within a year of start

Onboarding Process

• Complete a short form application to Conway Medical Center prior to start date
• Complete onboarding paperwork and orientation modules before start date

• Candidates must carry a government-issued photo ID during service hours.
• A clear, passport-style photo is required for badge purposes.
• COVID-19 vaccinations are not required at this time, but documentation is requested if received.
