Job Description

• Specialty: Registered Nurse
• Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience (RN)
  • 2 years of Neuro experience and/or 2 years of comprehensive stroke center experience in a large hospital
• Certifications Required:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) - must be able to read and interpret strips

Work Environment

• Fast-paced ICU treating neurological diseases and disorders, including seizures and strokes.
• Comprehensive stroke center with overflow ICU patients from Medical Surgical ICU and Heart and Vascular ICU.
• Floating Requirements:

  • Travelers may be required to float to different units at the discretion of Premier Health.
  • Assignments may include floating between Main Campus (Dayton), South Campus (Centerville), and North Campus (Englewood).

Availability

• Must be available to work every other weekend and holiday.

• 13 weeks

  • Annual health questionnaire and physical exam must be completed.
