• Shift: Day shift with 1-2 call shifts per week and 1 weekend per month.

Job Description

The position involves working in the field of Cardiovascular Intervention, which includes:

• Interventional Cardiology
• Interventional Neurology
• Interventional Radiology
• Electrophysiology

Key Responsibilities

• Verify patient identification and consent.
• Assess patient allergies and history of contrast reactions.
• Prepare and monitor equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Monitor and record vital signs and assess distal pulses pre and post-procedure.
• Participate in pre-procedural time-out activities.
• Prepare access sites and ensure patient comfort.
• Select and administer appropriate contrast agents and medications.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Maintain medical equipment and ensure proper function during procedures.
• Advocate for radiation safety and document fluoroscopy time and radiation dose.
• Position patients and imaging equipment for optimal results.
• Acquire and process digital images and assist with ultrasound guidance.
• Provide post-procedural care and instruction for students and partners.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited radiology program.

Certification / Licensure

• IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required.
• ARRT(R) required.
• ARRT(VI) or ARRT(CI) required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required.
• NIHSS certification required.
