Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Location

State: North Carolina
City: Hickory
Facility: Catawba Valley Medical Center
Hospital System: Qualivis

Employment Details

Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule:
- 3x12 Nights (7 PM - 7 AM)
- Minimum of every other weekend and holidays
- Option to flex to 4x12 if needed/available (overtime billed after 48 hours)

Job Description

Position: ER RN
Start Date: ASAP
Experience: 2-3 years required; first-time travelers are welcome
Local candidates are accepted
EMR: Meditech (experience preferred)

Required Certifications

BLS: Basic Life Support (AHA)
ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA)
PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (AHA)
CPI/CIC: Crisis Prevention Institute/Crisis Intervention Certification (strongly preferred before onboarding)

Additional Requirements

Proof of I-9 or Attestation
Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during service hours)
E-Verify documentation
Residency Declaration Form (if working on a compact license)
Various health documents including:
- Physical Exam (within 1 year of start)
- Negative TB or Chest X-Ray (within 1 year of start)
- Vaccination records for Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella
- 9-panel Drug Screen (within 30 days of start)
- Flu vaccination (required October 1st - April 1st)

Background Check

7-year criminal check required within a year of start
Education verification of the highest degree/diploma obtained

References

Proof of 2 clinical references (hospital evaluations accepted)
