  • Intra-aortic balloon pump
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements: 36 hours per week
• Floating Policy: Must be willing to float outside of ICU/CVICU

Required Skills and Certifications

Must Have:

• Open heart recovery
• Hemodynamic monitoring with Swan Ganz catheter
• Arterial line management
• Vasoactive medication infusions
• Ventilator management

Advanced Skills Needed:

• Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
• Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)

Procedures Performed on Unit:

• Chest tube insertion
• Arterial line insertion
• Central line insertion
• Swan Ganz insertion
• IABP insertion

Certifications Required:

• ACLS
• BLS
• CPI

Dress Code

• Required uniform: Navy Blue and/or White scrubs

Facility Overview

Fort Walton Beach Medical Center is a 257-bed top-performing quality hospital with over 200 highly respected physicians.
