Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist

Position Details

• Specialty: Occupational Therapy (OT)
• Location: Reno, Nevada
• Facility: Renown Rehabilitation Hospital, part of Renown Health
• Employment Type: Travel
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• Shift: Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 4:30 PM, with rotating weekend coverage (subject to change)
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40
• Call Requirements: To be discussed during the interview
• Additional Shift Requirement: Must be willing to pick up one additional shift during the scheduled period

Qualifications

• Licenses: Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada Physical Therapy license. A provisional license is acceptable until the state license is issued.
• Certifications: BLS/CPR certification per AHA standards required.
• Experience: Minimum of two years of clinical experience in the respective department required.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality Physical Therapy services under supervision.
• Deliver comprehensive physical therapy services to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Conduct evaluations, develop plans of care, and provide rehabilitation services until discharge.
• Direct clinical supervision of staff physical therapy assistants and rehab technicians.
• Participate in program development and outcome measurements in the clinical setting.

Additional Information

• Travelers may be required to float to meet organizational needs up to their competency level.
• Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts.
• Per diem staff must work at least one major and one minor holiday each year.
