Position Overview

Job Description

• Experience Required: 2 years in a hospital setting
• Licensure: Must have an active compact license at submission
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS

Unit Information

• Unit Type: PCU
• Number of Beds: 20
• Staffing:

  • Day Shift: 5 RNs
  • Night Shift: 5 RNs
• Patient Ratios: 4:1
• Equipment Used: GE cardiac monitoring, Hospira IV pumps
• EMR System: Expanse

Skills and Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Strong dysrhythmia recognition skills
• Critical drip experience
• 2 years of PCU experience

Preferred Skills:

• Pre-post cardiac cath & pacer patient care experience
• Prior experience with HCA
