Job Description

Specialty: Registered Nurse
Experience Required:
- 2 years of pediatric experience required
- First-timers accepted only with 3+ years of recent experience
Weekend Requirements: As needed
Local Candidates: Not accepted (100 miles radius rule)
Pending Licenses: Not accepted; all travelers must comply with NLC guidelines
RTO Restrictions: All RTO must be included at the time of submission

Special Requirements

Pediatrics experience required
BSN preferred

Certifications Required

ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA or ARC only)
BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA or ARC only)
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (AHA or ARC only)
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (AAP only for specific units)
TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course (preferred for ER)
EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring (Intermediate AWHONN required for L&D)
NIH Stroke Certification - Required for all RNs at Methodist Healthcare, except Le Bonheur Children's Hospital

Health Documents Required

Physical Exam - Required within 1 year of start, expires annually
Fit Mask - 3M N-95 fit test required
Vaccinations - Tdap, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Flu vaccine documentation required
Negative TB or Chest X-Ray - Required within 1 year of start
Drug Testing - Negative 10 Panel Drug Test within 30 days of start date
COVID-19 Vaccination - Preferred, not required

Background and History Checks

Background Check - Must include statewide, county, federal searches, and education verification
References - Two recent professional references required
Education Verification - Required, diploma/transcript not accepted in lieu

Additional Information

Dress Code: Specific scrubs colors for different roles; business casual for RN Case Managers
Photo Badge: Must meet strict guidelines for submission
