Job Opportunity: Travel RN Position

• Unit Name: 6 East Ortho/Trauma
• Number of Beds: 23
• Patient Ratios: 1:4, 1:5
• Unit Staffing: Unit Secretary and PCTs available
• Type of Equipment: Traction, fixators, cooling equipment
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements: 3 shifts of 12 hours, including 3 weekend shifts per schedule period
• Floating Policy: Contract labor is first to float; may float to other MedSurg level of care units (General MS, Nephrology, Neuro/Trauma)
• Patient Experience Requirements: Bedside shift report, hourly rounding

Hospital Specifics

• Certifications: Level 1 Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center

Hiring Profile

Required Skills

• Must Have: RN license, BLS
• Advanced Skills Needed: Ortho experience, Tele, NIH
• Procedures Performed on Unit: Post-op knee, hip, and shoulder replacements, trauma patients, some neuro overflow (NIH is helpful)

Dress Code

• Required Uniform: Navy scrubs
