Job Description

• Experience Required: Approximately 2 years preferred.
• Floating: Required to float to various departments including NICU, CV PICU, ED, stepdown, and MS as needed. Must comply with facility float expectations.
• Licensure: Ohio State or Compact RN license is required.
• References: 2 references required at the time of submittal, with at least one being a supervisor or manager.

Certifications Required

• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• BLS - Basic Life Support
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (required for NICU RNs)
• TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
• Tech Cert Verification - National (if applicable)
• State License Verification - OH State or Compact RN license required
• NURSYS Verification - For RN, LPN/LVN, AP
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
• Competency Exam - Required as applicable to Profession/Specialty

Health Documents Required

• Physical Exam - Must state candidate is "free of communicable diseases."
• TB Questionnaire - Required annually.
• Drug Testing - Negative 9 Panel Drug Screen within 60 days of start.
• Flu Vaccine - Required during flu season (Oct 31 - May 31).
• COVID-19 Vaccination - Optional as of 8/2023, with declinations acceptable.
• Fingerprinting - Required within 60 days of start.

Compliance and Documentation

• Background Check - Criminal Background Check within 30 days of start.
• Education Verification - Required to verify highest degree.
• References - 2 Manager or Supervisor references required.
• Skills Checklist - Unit specific skills checklist required and updated annually.

Additional Information

• Infection Control Policy - Must review and sign prior to start.
• Confidentiality Agreement - Must review and sign prior to start.
• Residency Declaration Form - Required as applicable.
