Position Details

Job Title: Registered Nurse
Location: Edmonds, Washington
Facility: Providence Swedish Medical Center
Hospital System: Providence Health and Services - MSP
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, and Newborn care.
Floating: Required as needed across various departments.
Patient Diagnoses:
- Labor and Delivery
- Post Partum
- OB Triage
- Antepartum
- Normal Newborn

Special Procedures

Required Skills:
- Vaginal Delivery and Cesarean Delivery
- Circulate in OR
- Start adult IVs
- Blood/Blood Products Administration
- Management of drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps
- Administration of insulin and magnesium sulfate

Equipment and Care

Special Equipment:
- Circulate C/S
- High Risk Antepartum and L&D
- LDRP
- OB-GYN
- Post-Op/Pre-Op
- Couplet Care

Certifications Required

AWHONN Intermediate
BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
Additional certifications may include ACLS, BLS, PALS, and EFM.

Staff-to-Patient Ratio

1:1 to 1:3

Additional Information

Eligibility: Previous permanent employees of any Providence affiliated facility must be separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months to qualify for a travel position.
Licensure: Active compact license is honored at all Swedish facilities.

Competencies

- Tdap
- Flu Vaccine during flu season
- COVID-19 Vaccination or Declination
- TB testing and other immunizations as required.
