Job Description
The Electrophysiology Lab Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist (CV RTR) is responsible for performing a variety of technical functions and patient care activities during procedures. The primary role involves operating fluoroscopy in the Cardiac Cath Lab, monitoring procedures, scrubbing procedures, and assisting with supply and equipment management.
Shift Details
- Schedule: 4 x 10-hour shifts (0730-1800)
- Call Requirement:
- Weeknights: 1800-0730
- Weekends: Friday 1800 to Monday 0730
- Currently taking 1 night per week and 1 full weekend per month
- No weekend shifts, just weekend call.
Required Qualifications
- Current ARRT credential and OBMI license
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience
- PALS and pediatric experience preferred (not required)
Additional Information
- Cross-Training: Cath Lab CV RTR staff may be cross-trained to assist in EP procedures and support those cases as needed.
- Training Opportunities: May be trained to assist in TAVR and TMVR procedures in the SOR Hybrid OR room.
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Identification: A valid government-issued photo ID is required on the first day to obtain an OHSU ID badge.
- Certifications:
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- BLS - Basic Life Support
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (preferred)
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (if applicable)
- Health Documents:
- Negative TB or Chest X-Ray
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination or signed declination
- COVID-19 vaccination strongly recommended
- Background Check: Must be completed within 6 months prior to start.
Facility Specific Requirements
- Professional Appearance Policy: Must be reviewed and signed prior to start.
- Orientation Modules: Completion of specific training modules is required prior to start.
References
- Two manager or supervisor references from an employer within the last 24 months are required.
