Job Description

• Position: Rotating ICU RN (Days/Eves/Nights & Every Other Weekend)
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Floating Required: Yes (mostly Medical/Surgical Units)
• Telemetry Competency Required: Yes

Unit Details

• Unit Name: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Unit Description: 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU caring for adult patients with conditions such as:

  • Sepsis
  • GI bleed
  • Respiratory failure
  • Cardiac arrest
  • Renal failure
  • DKA
  • Cardiogenic shock
• Patient Population: All
• RN to Patient Ratio: 1:2 or 1:1 with high acuity
• Bed Count: 20 beds
• EMR (Charting System): EPIC

Experience Requirements

• Years of Experience Required:

  • 3+ years of ICU RN experience
  • 2+ years of continuous work experience in one location, preferably in a MICU

Shift Requirements

• Rotating Shifts:

  • Day positions are “Day Rotate” (7a-7p, 11a-11p, or 7p-7a)
  • Night shift does not rotate

Required Certifications

• Active Massachusetts RN License
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15th - April 30th)
• TB Test: Required (skin test or QuantiFERON)
• Fit Test: Required for N95 respirators
