Job Description

• Requirements:

  • ACLS, BLS, and NIH certification required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience.
  • Floating is required.
  • Resume must include EPIC experience within the last year.
  • RTO (Request Time Off) must be submitted at the time of application (maximum of 7 days).
  • No block schedule requests will be accommodated.
  • Scrub Color: Solid black.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (CCNE or ACEN) is required.

Health and Safety Requirements

• COVID-19 Vaccine: Required for all travelers prior to start. Medical or religious exemptions considered on a case-by-case basis.
• MMR: Titer or 2 adult vaccines required. Negative titer requires two boosters.
• Hepatitis B: Titer or proof of complete vaccines required.
• Influenza Vaccine: Required by all travelers from September to April.
• PPD/IGRA: 2 Negative PPDs or negative Q-Gold/Tspot required.
• Varicella: Titer or 2 adult vaccines required.
• Tdap: Must be within 10 years of start.
• Annual TB Questionnaire: Completed, signed, and dated.
• Drug Screen: Negative 10 panel drug screen required within 30 days of start.
• Background Check: Comprehensive background check required.
• Fit Test: Required for all patient-facing positions.
• Health Statement: Pre-employment physical required.
• Driver's License/State ID: Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID.

Certifications and Licenses

• BLS: Required for all nurses.
• ACLS: Required.
• NIH Certification: Required.
• Nursys: Nursing license verification required.
• License/Certificate Verification: Required for state-specific registry.

Competency and Skills

• Summa Competency Exam: Unit-specific competency exam required.
• Summa Skills Checklist: Unit-specific skills checklist required.
• Summa EKG Exam, Telemetry Exam: Passing score required.
• Summa Pharmacology Exam: Optional but recommended.

Compliance

• Core Competencies: HIPAA, Joint Commission - NPSG, OSHA topics required within 90 days of start.
• RN Submission Packet: Checklist required to be filled out completely and included as the first page of the packet.
