Job Description

• Schedule: 4x10s or 3x12s (specify in submittal)
• Department: Cath Lab/Physiology
• Patient Ratio:

  • Cath Lab: 3:1
  • Holding Area: 3:1 (may change depending on acuity)

Responsibilities

• Monitor procedures along with vitals and hemodynamics.
• Manage mechanical ventilation, conscious sedation, and post-procedure care.
• Circulate in the Cath Lab and perform sheath removal.
• Document during procedures and work alongside the surgeon.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab or critical care experience.
• Experience with high-risk PCI, rotational & laser atherectomy, and IV Impella preferred.

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

On-Call Requirements

• On-call every 3-4 weeks for Friday 9 PM to Monday 6 AM block.
• 1 weekday evening on-call every 2-3 weeks.

Additional Information

• Charting System: EPIC
• Scrubs: Provided by the hospital
• Local Candidates: Accepted

Skill Requirements

• Ability to monitor procedures, manage vitals, and perform post-procedure management.
• Experience with tele, moderate sedation, IABP, and structural heart procedures.

Compliance and Documentation

• Background Check: Required within 30 days of start.
• References: 2 references within the last 2 years, including one managerial reference.
• Employment Application/Resume: Required, must include 7 years of work history.
• Work History Verification: Required for all candidates, including APN/SUB candidates.

Health Documents

• Physical Exam: Required within the previous 12 months.
• TB Testing: Required initial baseline screening.
• Vaccinations: Documentation for MMR, Tdap, Hepatitis B, and Varicella required.

Training and Certifications

• Annual Education Sign Off: Required prior to start.
• Fit Test Questionnaire: Must be completed within 48 hours of confirmation.
