Position Details

• Contract Duration: 26 to 39 weeks with potential for permanent role.

Job Description

• Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: Adjusted based on acuity.
• Flexibility: Float to different units within the same specialty.
• Work Schedule: Regular shifts of 36 to 40 hours per week during orientation, then 36 shifts afterward. Rotating day and night shifts every 4 weeks. Mandatory availability for alternating weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 1 year in Medical-Surgical (MS), MS/Tele, or oncology preferred (will train).
• Certifications Required:

  • BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • EPIC charting experience
• First-time travelers accepted.

Required Skills

• Clinical Skills:

  • MS/TELE experience (1 year minimum)
  • Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias
  • Knowledge of Rapid Response Teams
  • Competency in gastrointestinal care
  • Proficient in feeding tube care, IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, peripheral line care, and IV starts.

Preferred Experience

• Previous oncology experience preferred but not required.

RN Focus

• Commitment to full contract term, upskilling, and expanding oncology knowledge.
• Willingness to obtain chemo competency.
• Access to resources for ONS Chemo certification course.
