Unit Information

Number of Beds: 14-22
Patient Ratios: Med/Surg 4:1
Staffing:
- Day Shift: 4-6 nurses (prefer CNC free, unit secretary)
- Night Shift: 4-6 nurses (prefer CNC free)
Type of Equipment: EMR - Meditech

Required Skills and Certifications

Must Have:
- BLS
- PALS
Preferred:
- ACLS

Typical Procedures Performed

Cleft palate repair
Appendectomy
Chest tube management
Lumbar punctures
Seizure management
Noninvasive cardiology (no neurosurgery or stroke)
Thoracic cases (e.g., thoracotomy/thoracoscopy, pectus bar implants)

Floating Areas: NICU Level 1 or 2 only
Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs
Weekend Requirements: 4 weekend days every 4 weeks; no call required
