Unit Information

Unit Name: Endoscopy 73310
Number of Beds: 9
Staffing:
- Total Staff: 11 FT/PT, 2 PRN
- Day Shift: 6-7 RNs and 2 techs per day
Patient Ratios:
- Intra-op team: 2:1 patient ratio
- Pre/Post-op: 1 RN: 2 patients
Equipment Used: Olympus endoscopes and reprocessors
EMR System: Meditech

Typical Hiring Profile

Required Skills:
- Endoscopy experience (circulate and tech procedures)
Preferred Skills:
- Pre/post-op experience
- Experience with Olympus scopes and reprocessors

Typical Procedures Performed

EGD/Colonoscopy
ERCP
EUS
EBUS (variations of each procedure)

Ideal Candidate Traits

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong teamwork skills, especially intraoperatively

Additional Information

Call Requirements: Take call 1 night per week and every 4th-6th weekend
Work Environment: Staff perform basic and interventional/therapeutic procedures on high-acuity patients with highly specialized and trained physicians.
