Job Description

As a CT Tech, you will be responsible for providing quality patient care within the medical imaging department. Your primary duties will include:

• Performing high-quality imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Following standards of safe radiation practice and demonstrating leadership abilities.
• Acting as a clinical resource for unit personnel and ensuring adherence to current standards of practice.
• Preparing patients for exams, providing information and support, and assisting during procedures.
• Observing patients and equipment during procedures, documenting unusual occurrences, and reporting patient conditions.
• Facilitating patient flow and optimal use of equipment/resources.
• Communicating effectively with physicians, imaging personnel, and hospital staff.
• Performing IV starts and contrast administration as required.
• Maintaining technical operation of equipment and ensuring a clean work area.
• Participating in clinical training for students and staff technologists.
• Engaging in professional development and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience is required.
• Ability to float to any CommonSpirit location within 60 miles of the original assignment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing technologies, policies, and staffing needs.

Additional Information

• Must maintain compliance with all State, Federal, accreditation, and hospital regulations and standards.
• Responsible for contributing to ACR accreditation as requested.
• Effective time management and prioritization skills are essential.
