Job Description

Specialty: Medical Surgical / Registered Nurse
Years of Experience Required: 2 years
Patient Ratio: 1:6/7
On-Call: As needed
Weekend Requirements: As needed
Local Candidates: Not accepted (100-mile radius rule)
Pending License: Not accepted (must comply with NLC guidelines)
RTO Restrictions: All RTO must be included at the time of submission

Special Requirements

Level I Trauma Experience Required
Travel Experience Required
Large Hospital Experience Required

Certifications Required

ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA or ARC only)
BLS: Basic Life Support (AHA or ARC only)
PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (AHA or ARC only, required for specific units)
NRP: Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (AAP only, required for specific units)
TNCC: Trauma Nursing Core Course (preferred for ER)
EFM: Electronic Fetal Monitoring (Intermediate AWHONN required for L&D)
NIH Stroke Certification: Required for all RNs (except Le Bonheur Children's Hospital)
Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam: Required annually for Case Managers
Fit Mask: 3M N-95 fit test required
Flu Vaccine: Required prior to start

Health Documents Required

Physical Exam: Required within 1 year of start
Negative TB or Chest X-Ray: Required within 1 year of start
Drug Testing: Negative 10 Panel Drug Test within 30 days of start date
Immunizations: Proof of vaccinations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella

Background and History Checks

Background Check: Required within 60 days of start
References: Two recent professional references required
Education Verification: Required

Additional Information

Dress Code: Specific scrub colors for different roles; business casual for RN Case Managers
Photo Badge: Must be submitted prior to start date
