Description
- BLS (AHA only)
- ACLS (AHA only)
Certification details
- General job duties include caring for ventilated patients, initiating and titrating IV drips (vasopressors, sedation, and paralytics), assisting with intubations and line placement.
- Monitoring critically ill patients with primary diagnoses of sepsis, respiratory failure (acute and chronic), renal failure (acute and chronic), myocardial infarctions, pulmonary embolism, pneumonia.
- This is a mixed acuity unit with both ICU and progressive patients.
Job details
- Minimum 1.5 years of ICU experience required, 2 years ICU experience preferred.
- Must have a valid IN RN License.
Job requirements
- Three 12 hour shifts per week.
- Weekends are the greater need; weekend-only assignments could be created.
- Traditional weekday plus weekend assignment rotations available.
Schedule information
- Onboarding through workforce development to review policies and obtain EPIC training and access.
- One day of unit onboarding.
Unit specific information
- Does your candidate require time off during this assignment? If so, list the days in the comment section.
- Mixed acuity unit - main patients will be PCU with 1:3 ratio, less likely ICU patients with 1:2 ratio.
- Travel experience preferred.
- Level 1 or Level 2 facility experience preferred.
- Position will float to ALL ICU, PCU and Medsurg units with a 1:3 max ratio.
