Job Description

As a Travel ICU RN, you will care for critically ill and unstable patients, which may include conditions such as:

• Alcohol withdrawal
• Anaphylaxis
• CVA or other neurological injuries
• DKA
• Complicated GI Bleed
• Post-op interventional cardiac procedures
• Acute ST segment elevation myocardial infarction
• Respiratory failure

Types of Treatments/Procedures

• Vasoactive and/or anti-arrhythmic infusion titration
• Mechanical ventilation
• Cardioversion
• Transesophageal echocardiogram
• Pulmonary artery pressure monitoring
• Hypothermia care
• Prolonged Intermittent Renal Replacement Therapy

Requirements

• Experience: 1-2 years minimum in IMCU or ICU hospital experience
• Certifications:

  • ASN required, BSN preferred
  • BLS required
  • ACLS required
  • PALS required
• Knowledge: Ventilator and critical care drip knowledge required
• EMR: Cerner

Additional Information

• Floating: Yes, position may require floating to other units.
• Local Candidates: Not accepted; travelers must be greater than 50 miles from the facility.
• Required Documentation: Travelers must attach required license and certifications or will be rejected.
