Job Description

• Role: Home Health Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
• Responsibilities:

  • Conduct home visits for therapy services.
  • Participate in periodic office meetings.
  • Manage an average of 5-6 patients per day.
  • Complete documentation and travel as part of the job.

Requirements

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of adult home health experience required.
  • Recent home health experience is mandatory; first-timers are not accepted.
• Certifications:

  • CPR and BLS certification required.
• Transportation:

  • Must have reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and agency-required liability insurance.
• On-Call Requirements:

  • Varies by job/location; to be discussed during the interview.
• Weekend Requirements:

  • Varies per location and profession; to be discussed during the interview.
• Travel:

  • Must be willing to travel up to 75 miles from the home clinic.
  • Mileage reimbursed at the IRS standard rate.

Work Schedule

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
• Weekend Rotation: No routine rotation; only if a scheduled patient needs it.

Productivity Expectations

• Weekly Units: 25-30 points expected.
• Patient Load: Assigned between 5-10 patients per day, equating to roughly 6-8 points.

Additional Information

• EMR System: Experience with Homecare Homebase (HCHB) preferred.
• Territory: Covering the entire King County area.
• Local Candidates: Accepted at the same rate.

Compliance and Documentation

• Candidates must complete various compliance documents and training prior to starting, including:

  • Background checks
  • Health documents (e.g., physical exam, TB test)
  • Certifications and licenses
  • Confidentiality agreements
