Job Description

Seeking a Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care RN with strong critical thinking skills and an ICU skillset. Responsibilities include:

• Immediate cardiac post-operative patient care
• Administration of inotropic medications
• Management of mediastinal chest tubes, central lines, and arterial lines
• Neonatal care and advanced airway management
• Use of ventilators and family-centered care
• Post-cardiac catheterization care
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred

Required Credentials

1. BLS - American Heart Association only
2. ACLS - American Heart Association only
3. License/Certificate Verification - Valid permanent RN license required; temporary licenses not accepted.
4. MMR - Positive titers only from within the last 15 years.
5. Fit Test - Completed within 1 year of start.
6. Hepatitis B - Proof of vaccination or signed declination.
7. Varicella - Positive titers only from within the last 15 years.
8. Tdap - Proof of vaccination within the past 10 years.
9. 2-Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) - Negative reads within the last 6 months.
10. NIHSS Certification - Required.
11. Physical/Health Statement - Completed within one year of initial start date.
12. UHS Skills Checklist - Skill specific required to be completed within 1 year prior to start.
13. UHS Competency Exam - Must score at least 80%.
14. UHS Core Competencies - 80% passing score required.
15. UHS Education Verification - Highest level of education verified.
16. UHS Employment Verification - Verification of employment within the last 5 years.
17. UHS Criminal Background Check Results - Ran within 6 months of start.
18. UHS OIG Search - Verified to be ran separately from background check.
19. UHS SAM/EPLS/GSA/OFAC - Supporting documentation required.
20. UHS Drug Screen - Ran within 60 days upon initial start date.
