Job Description

• Requirements:

  • ACLS/BLS certification required.
  • Must be willing to float to different units.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Solid black scrubs are required.
  • Requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted upon application; a maximum of 7 days is allowed. Block scheduling is not offered.

Credentials and Certifications Required

• Vaccinations:

  • COVID-19 Vaccine (Medical or Religious exemptions considered on a case-by-case basis).
  • MMR (2 adult vaccines or titer; negative titer requires 2 boosters).
  • Hepatitis B (titer or proof of complete vaccines; negative titer requires 2 boosters).
  • Influenza Vaccine (required for all travelers from September to April).
  • Varicella (titer or 2 adult vaccines; negative titer requires 2 boosters).
  • Tdap (within 10 years of start).

• TB Testing:

  • 2 Negative PPDs or negative Q-Gold/Tspot required (1st within 30 days of start, 2nd within 12 months).

• Drug Screening:

  • Negative 10 panel drug screen within 30 days of start.

• Background Checks:

  • Comprehensive criminal background check required (FCRA compliant, covering 7 years).
  • OIG and EPLS searches required.

• Licensing:

  • Valid nursing license (Nursys verification required within 30 days of start).
  • License/Certificate verification for specific certifications.

• Other Requirements:

  • Fit Test for N95 masks.
  • Pre-employment physical.
  • Valid government-issued photo ID.
  • NIHSS Stroke scale certification.
  • Unit-specific competency exam and skills checklist.
  • Completion of the RN Submission Packet Checklist.
