Job Description

This position is for a Registered Nurse at The Cleveland Clinic Main Campus.

Required Certifications

• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA Only, Instructor or Provider; RQI acceptable)
• BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA Only, Instructor or Provider; RQI acceptable)
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (AHA Only, Instructor or Provider; RQI acceptable)
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (AAP/AHA Only)
• CHEMO - Chemotherapy (Not Required for Oncology)
• TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course (Preferred, not required for ER)
• Tech Cert Verification - National (CVOR - National Certification required)
• HIPAA Safety Manual Acknowledgement (Required annually)
• Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing (Required for all Nursing positions except OR)
• State License Verification (Primary Source Verification within 30 days of start)
• NURSYS Verification (within 30 days of start)
• NIH Stroke Certification (AHA, Apex, AACME, or Bluecloud only)
• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) (Required during Orientation)
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (Required as applicable by Profession)
• Competency Exam (Unit-Specific required within 12 months of start)

Health Documents

• Physical Exam (within a year of start)
• Fit Mask (required within 12 months of start and updated annually)
• Tdap Vaccine (required every 10 years)
• Negative TB or Chest X-Ray (True 2-Step PPD or QGold/TSPOT within 12 months of start)
• TB Questionnaire (required annually)
• Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella Vaccinations (2 vaccines or positive titer)
• Hepatitis B (Titer, Series, or Declination)
• Varicella (2 Vaccines or Positive Titer)
• Drug Testing (Standard 10 Panel within 12 months of start)
• Flu Vaccine (or Medical/Religious Exemption required during flu season)

Background and History Requirements

• Background Check (required prior to start)
• References (2 required from employment within the past year)
• Employment Application (must include 3 years prior work history)
• Skills Checklist (required annually)
• Fingerprinting (BCI and FBI required within 12 months of start)

Additional Information

• Government-Issued Photo ID required; must carry while on assignment.
• Candidates must complete all onboarding modules prior to clearance to start.
• Candidates need to be aware of the high priority of completing modules and other requirements.
