Job Description

• Shifts: 3x12 D/E/N rotating shifts based on unit needs.
• Schedule: Created in 6-week blocks, sent out 2 weeks prior. Typically, one week on one shift, then switching to another shift the following week. Maximum of 2 on-call shifts per week.
• On-Call Requirement: Yes, dependent on schedule and department needs. Typically 4 calls within a 4-week schedule.
• Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years.
• First-Timers Accepted: Yes.
• Weekend Requirement: Yes.
• Certifications Required:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Special Requirements: Must have experience in circulating and scrubbing. Independent with trauma cases, craniotomy, vascular, and endo-vascular procedures. Experience with robotics and ortho is strongly preferred.

• Competencies:

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam
  • Color Blind Testing Online

Health and Background Requirements

• Physical Exam: Required within 12 months of start.

• Fit Test: Required within 12 months of start, updated annually.

• Vaccinations:

  • Tdap vaccination required within 10 years for specific units.
  • Negative TB or Chest X-Ray required.
  • Flu vaccination required during flu season.
  • COVID-19 vaccination required.

• Background Check: 7-year criminal background check required within 12 months of start.
