Job Opportunity: X Ray Tech

Position Details

Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Location: Lansing, Michigan
Facility: Sparrow Hospital, part of Sparrow Health System - MSP
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP

Shift Information

Shift: Alternating 4x8 and 5x8 (12 PM - 8:30 PM)
Weekend Requirement: Yes, every 3rd weekend
On-call Requirement: No
Floating Requirement: No

Experience Requirements

Minimum Experience: 1 year
First-timers Accepted: Yes
Surgery Experience Preferred: Yes

Certifications and Licenses Required

BLS: Basic Life Support
AART: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (preferred for ER)
PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (as applicable)
NRP: Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (as applicable)
TNCC: Trauma Nursing Core Course (for ER placements)
State License: Current Michigan license required
Tech Cert Verification: Required if applicable

Working Environment: Fast-paced department performing general diagnostic exams for the Emergency department and inpatient units.

RTO Restrictions: None, must be submitted during the submittal process

Health and Safety Requirements

Physical Exam: Required within 12 months of start
TB Test: Negative PPD, QGold, or Tspot within 1 year
Vaccinations:
- Tdap Vaccine within 10 years
- Flu Seasonal Vaccination for the 2024-25 season
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccinations or titers showing immunity
- Hepatitis B vaccination or declination
- Varicella vaccinations or titers showing immunity
Drug Testing: 10 panel drug screen required within 30 days of start

Background Check Requirements

References: 2 references from previous employers
Resume: Required, including work history
Education Verification: High school diploma or equivalent required
