Job details

NYU Langone Brooklyn Hospital is seeking 10 Labor & Delivery RNs to work night shift ASAP (RNs are to work every other weekend). This would be for 3x12s. Facility would like candidates to begin as early as 1/27 but an absolute must by 2/10.
Patient Age Group: Neonates, Infants, Adolescents, Adults
Staffing Ratios for Nights: 1:2
Schedule Requirements: Weekend Coverage (Every Other)
Scheduling Type: Self
Shift Hours: 7PM to 7:30AM
Unit Systems: Medication System: Omnicell, Documentation: EPIC, Communication: SBAR, Other Systems: IPASS/iTRCAE
Provider Support: Interpretation Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, Rapid Response Teams, Respiratory Services, and Social Services
Provider Coverage: Intensivist | In-House 24/7, Anesthesiologist | In-House 24/7, Other: Safety Officer | 24/7
Unit Info: The Labor and Delivery unit serves women in the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum period. Patients who have a pregnancy = 20 weeks or are = 6 weeks postpartum are seen for evaluation and treatment.

Job requirements

Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP
Required Skills: Work Settings: Antepartum, Facility births/month 200-300, Labor and Delivery, High Risk Antepartum
Years of Experience Required: 2
Electronic Documentation: Required
Teaching Hospital Experience: Preferred
Trauma Level I Experience: Preferred
Trauma Level II Experience: Preferred

Schedule information

Night shift, 3x12s, every other weekend
Candidates to begin as early as 1/27 but an absolute must by 2/10

Unit specific information

The Labor and Delivery unit provides comprehensive care to the obstetrical patient using an interdisciplinary approach.

AHA ONLY! Required for all candidates, including MRI Techs, CT Techs & X-Ray Techs.
