Job details

Home Health Physical Therapy Assistant (HH/PTA) position available with an expected ratio of 1:6 visits per day. At least 1 year of experience required, with a preference for candidates with home care experience. The opportunity involves working to support a Physical Therapist as part of the patient care team.

Job requirements

One year of experience is required. First-time workers are accepted. Must possess strong skills in various physical therapy techniques and have the ability to utilize a range of equipment. The candidate should also have good time management skills, be able to perform lifting and transfers and provide patient family education. Experience with certain conditions such as hip fractures, knee injuries, and osteoarthritis is preferable.

Schedule information

Weekends are not required. Open to accommodating block schedules. Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13 weeks, with regular shift length.

Unit specific information

The role is within a home care setting, focusing on adult/geriatric care. Experience in managing a wide range of physical therapy techniques is vital for the role, including strength testing, vital signs, and gait training, specifically relating to hip injuries, osteoarthritis, and replacements.

Additional Details

Local candidates are accepted. Pending licenses are not accepted. No more than 7 days for RTO restrictions.
