Description

Responsible to manage the 7/24-hour clinical operations and staff within the PACU, meeting continuous quality improvement, customer service, financial, and delivery requirements in support of Seattle Children's mission, vision and values. Ensure safe, efficient and cost- effective care is provided to the community, patients and families of community primary care providers, and promote linkages and strategic regional relationships with Seattle Children's. In conjunction with the Operative Services leadership team, you will manage for the implementation of CPI initiatives for the PACU. Seattle Children's PACU is a mix of critical care (Peri-anesthesia) and acute care (Ambulant surgical) nursing. This area is high volume, with around half of all surgeries and procedures undertaken admitted and discharged from within the service on the same day.
  
Required Education/Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- A Master's degree in Nursing may be substituted provided the incumbent also possesses a Bachelor's degree in another field.
- Minimum of two years of nursing experience.
- Demonstrated leadership experience.
Required Credentials:
- Current Washington State RN license.
- National certification in a clinical specialty area must be obtained within 3 years of employment.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification must be obtained within 3 months of employment.
- A copy of Bachelor's degree in Nursing or transcripts indicating attainment of Bachelor's degree (or higher) in nursing is to be on record with Human Resources upon hire.
Preferred: - Master's Degree in Nursing or business related field.
- Recent experience in PACU management and/or leadership role.
- Recent clinical experience in a PACU setting.
*Compensation Range*
$126,805.00 - $190,207.00 per year*Salary Information*
This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
