Under general supervision, this position will provide psychiatric crisis evaluation/ treatment planning, individual/family/group therapy in the emergency department, inpatient, and outpatient settings. This clinician must be able to meet documentation standards in terms of timeliness and accuracy using Meditech as the primary electronic medical record. Documentation must meet Bartlett Regional Hospital and CMS standards. This clnician will conduct individual assessments, including diagnosis, individualized treatment planning, and referrals throughout the service continuum as appropriate. The nature of the services necessitates a brief solution focused model. Collaboration with other community providers is essential. This clinician may provide individual, group, conjoint, and family counseling as appropriate. This provider must work cooperatively to provide evidence-based practice and utilize standards developed in conjunction with the Bartlett Regional Hospital Behavioral Health teams which will include psychiatry, mid-level providers, and other clinicians. This clinician will participate in other hospital committees and teams as appropriate with particular focus on building strong working relationships with all Behavioral Health service lines and community partners.
Requirements:
Education: Masters degree in the Behavioral Sciences in a licensable discipline under Alaska Regulation.
Experience: 1 year clinical experience
License: none
Certifications: BLS within 60 days; TEAM/BERT within 90 days; Must begin the initial application for temporary QAP certification within 30 days of accepting the position. If they plan to extend past 13 weeks or come on permanently then they go through the entire QAP process
Shifts: Variable, 8hr shifts, on-call required, weekends
Positions provide individual, family, and group behavioral health therapy services in an in-patient or outpatient
setting. Primary duties include (but not limited to): • Conducts individual assessments, including diagnosis, individualized treatment planning, safety planning, and
referrals throughout the service continuum as appropriate. The nature of the services necessitates a brief
solution focused model. • Provides individual, group, conjoint, and family counseling as appropriate to treatment plan or situation. • Works cooperatively to provide evidenced based practice and utilize standards developed in collaboration
with the assigned treatment teams which include an assigned psychiatrist, mid-level providers, and other
clinicians. Collaborates effectively with other community providers and resources. • Meets documentation standards in terms of timeliness and accuracy using Meditech as the primary
Electronic Medical Record. Documentation must meet Bartlett Regional Hospital and CMS standards. • Participates in other hospital committees and teams as appropriate with particular focus on building strong
working relationships with all areas of behavioral health within the hospital.
Positions are assigned to home departments where the incumbents perform the majority of their work. However,
once licensed, Clinicians may be assigned to float to other areas and must have a working knowledge of all areas
of behavioral health operations.
