Job Summary: Produces high quality images for interpretation by physicians that meet the standards established by the Mayo Clinic Radiology Departments. Requires competence, as determined by competency assessments, in a variety of imaging equipment and technology. Practices proper safety guidelines for themselves, support personnel, and patients. Fosters teamwork through effective communication. Ensures high level of service to patients through proper communication, technique, and safety guidelines. Maintains flexibility to staff various work locations, shift times and lengths. Perform other functional duties as assigned to assure efficient and optimal patient care.
Comments
40 hours per week, mainly 8 hour shifts with some 10 hour shifts (usually associated with weekends). Start times vary from 630am-1230pm and end times from 3pm - 9pm. Overnight/evening shifts are mainly covered by dedicated staff but may also be required as needed.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Produces high quality images that meet the standards established by the Mayo Clinic Radiology Department. Requires competence in a variety of equipment and technology. Practices safety guidelines for themselves, support personnel and patients. Fosters teamwork through effective communication. Maintains flexibility to staff various work locations, shift times and lengths. Ability to work varied hours, shift lengths and respond to an on-call pager which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays and weekends required.
SKILLS
Organized, efficient and multifunctional. Ability to work independently. Requires excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrates effective communication.
EDUCATION
Must have an Associate's degree from an accredited school in a related field and be a graduate an accredited radiography program.
ARRT certified in Radiography or registry eligible with certification obtained before start date of employment. ARRT certified in Radiography or registry.CPR/BLS Certified or obtained within 90 days of employment.
