Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLP-A)
Location: Hermiston, Oregon
Job Type: Full-Time, Contract (W2)
Job Summary: We are partnering with a School District near Hermiston, OR seeking a 100% in-person school experienced Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants for the remainder of the 24-25 school year starting within 3 weeks of accepting the position. The role is 40 hours per week providing Speech and Language services to school aged students ranging from K-12th Grade.
As a part of a team of extraordinary educators, you will have the chance to see the development of a student’s ability to connect with their world. Working closely with a team of evaluators you will learn from each other and strengthen your skills.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing materials for screening, assessment, and treatment services
- Implementing speech and language programs or activities as planned and directed by speech-language pathologists
- Monitoring the use of alternative communication devices and systems
- Selecting or preparing speech-language instructional materials
- Deliver services based on the caseload need, as determined by the supervising SLP
License and Education Requirements:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders or equivalent from an accredited institution
- Clinical Field Work Hour Requirements completed
- Active SLPA License Issued by Oregon Board of Examiners prior to start of school year
