About
The southernmost city in the Palm Beaches area, covering a 47-mile stretch on the Atlantic coast, Boca Raton was designed to be a premier resort town in the early 20th century. One of its most iconic buildings is the sprawling Mediterranean-style pink "palace," home to the Boca Raton Resort & Club and established soon after the town’s birth. Today, Boca, as the locals call it, attracts many with its stunning natural beauty, cultural attractions and laid-back Old World elegance. Nearly four dozen parks and countless postcard-perfect beaches dot the area, including South Beach Park and Red Reef Park, one of the best stretches for snorkeling on the state's east coast. The affluent city also hosts many high-end designer boutiques, a vibrant gastronomic scene, the renowned Boca Raton Museum of Art and a theater. Visitors and locals also enjoy open-air concerts at the Mizner Park Amphitheater.
